
Julie Ann Aueron
Physical Therapist
Dr. Julie Ann Aueron is a New York City-based Doctor of Physical Therapy, yoga and meditation teacher, and health and wellness professional.
From New Jersey, Dr. Aueron was born into a family of health care practitioners. She is the daughter of a nurse and a physician, hence has always been interested in health, preventative medicine, and wellness. Dr. Aueron’s focus is sports medicine. She enjoys helping patients becoming lifelong “better movers” post-injury and through custom, preventive care routines.
Julie Ann attended The George Washington University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and dance. She was awarded the prestigious Presidential Scholarship in the Arts which supported her artistic pursuit to explore dance and its place in a greater cultural context. She continued to pursue her studies at Columbia University where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Julie Ann began studying yoga as a teenager, however, her practice took on a deeper meaning during her time in graduate school as a way to assist in managing the anxiety from her intense studies. In fact, she found it so helpful that she decided to become a teacher. Dr. Aueron has now completed hundreds of hours of training and has developed a comprehensive personal yoga practice. She has assisted in yoga teacher trainings, teaches private lessons, corporate classes, workshops, and has lead large events. She currently studies Ashtanga yoga with Alex Schatzberg at New Vibe Yoga in New York City.
Fun Fact: Dr. Aueron is a Lady Gaga enthusiast
